Culture
Culture is the beliefs, way of life, art, and customs that are shared and accepted by people in a particular society. This week I have given culture a lot of thought. Our culture effects what we do, how we act, and even how we think. People have different views and beliefs on everything. Since I have come to Brigham Young University Idaho I have come to realize the Mormon culture I didn't even know I was a part of. I was born in Utah but moved when I was eight to Missouri. I was the only member in my High School and soon came to find out that I was very different from all of the other kids in my school. My religion has effected me in ways I never would have thought. When I came out to school I realized that I dressed the same as all of the other Mormon girls. I even realized that my handwriting looked like the majority of the girls my ages. This was so comforting to me because I was finally in a place where I fit in.
